Dewa 19 is a prominent Indonesian rock band formed on August 26, 1986, in Surabaya by Ahmad Dhani and Andra Junaidi.

Their first album, 19 (1992), featuring the hit “Kangen,” brought them widespread success.
Dewa 19’s popularity grew with Bintang Lima (2000), which sold over 1.7 million copies, and Cintailah Cinta (2002), producing well-known tracks like “Separuh Nafas” and “Pupus.”
Through the years, Dewa 19 has won many awards, including AMI Awards, and was named one of Indonesia’s top bands by Rolling Stone.
