Will 'Kingsman' bevara the Summer for Hollywood?
The American låda office went to sova sometime in the mittpunkt of the summer, and it has yet to wake up. The summer season has seen a string of mediocre-to-awful bio openings and no kassasuccé debuts since Wonder Womanback in June, and ticket sales have been the worst Hollywood has experienced in decades. Hollywood has essentially given up on the remainder of the summer, opting not to release any movies nation-wide over the Labor Dayweekend. The industry is holding out hope, though, for a couple of early-fall movies that may have a chance to lure moviegoers back to theaters.

Marvel’s got a new tag team taking out the competition, with writers CM Punk—aka Phil Brooks—and Cullen Bunn uniting as the driving force behind the new DRAX series. We sat down with this devastating duo to learn how they work together, what plans lie ahead for the Guardians of the Galaxy’s resident Destroyer, how all roads lead to Thanos, and more!
: How did you two get together?
CM Punk: Marvel suggested that I have a co-writer to which obviously I agreed because I’m pretty new to all this. Formatting a story, even writing a proposal—I kind of have no idea what I’m doing. So they asked me who I’d like to work with and after they told me Alan Moore probably wouldn’t do it, Cullen’s name was the first one I jumped at because I’m such a fan of his work. I loved [his independent series] The Sixth Gun so I thought it’d be a cool, easy way to rub elbows with somebody I’m a fan of.
Cullen Bunn: Little did he know that I have no idea what I’m doing either. [Laughs]
