Aindra Prabhu, will undoubtedly go down in both Iskcon and Vaishnava history as a very unique saint.
Although He was born in the USA in , as Edward Striker, He entirely cast off this identity, gradually becoming more and more aware of his inner identity as an eternal loving servant of Radha and Krishna. Sripad Aindra prabhu, a disciple of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, joined ISKCON in He served as a book distributor and pujari in various North American temples, as well as in Radha-Damodara, the famous traveling sankirtana group. Later, after making harinama-sankirtana his life's mission, he himself organized a traveling group and chanted Hare Krsna kirtan on the streets of New York City for hours daily. Aindra Prabhu about his life
Steven Rosen (Satyaraja Dasa, ACBSP) had traveled to Vraja in spring for pilgrimage and to do research for an upcoming book. But while he was there he decided to visit his old friend Aindra Prabhu, to see if he would like to be interviewed for Yoga of Kirtan, Part Two, a volume that as it turns out may or may not actually be published. To his delight, Aindra Prabhu was enthusiastic about the project and invited Steven Rosen up to his room for an intimate conversation, which he taped. What follows is a transcription of that tape.
Steven Rosen (SR): Western name, date of birth, etc.
